Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Don't know how to help you ... but how did it happen?

I am sure some experts will chime in - I don't know myself, but hopefully it does not have that old standard answer "You need to replace the cluster". I am sure you will get an answer here, but in case you don't I hear good things about a place in North Hollywood somewhere - North Hollywood Speedometer or something like that. Good luck! I know how little things can bother you - I am a bit of a perfectionist and something like that would eat at me slowly until I found an inexpensive way of fixing it. Steve

POST 6Original post

hmm.. I have some air bubbles in my gauge cluster backing, does anyone know if just the backing can be replaced? I'm assuming it can, so I could also switch it to kmph from mph.

POST 7Original post

Look for a cluster on ebay, good bezels and lens but damaged electronics should be cheap. Pull the back off the same way you would to replace the faces, just replace with your back

Do you have the gauges matching interior option on your car? I have savanah gauges with the same issues - bubbles all over.

POST 9Original post

When you take the cluster apart, you can just take out the faces out, they're just plastic. find a donor cluster.

I do believe they are the matching option. My gauge backing is a grey(ish) color, and I have grey interior.
