Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need to glue the headlight trim pieces to the front bumper cover. I've tried two different glues and neither of them worked. What have you found is the best, strongest glue for glueing two plastics? Thanks

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any one specific that you recommend? I tried the two part weld and it didn't work.

POST 4Original post

You most likely will want a solvent based cement that will actually dissolve or melt/weld into the plastic. For it to work you need to know the type of plastic. ABS, PVC, polypropylene are just 3 types and each will not work on another. I'd recommend trying an autobody supply shop. That may be the easiest way out.

POST 5Original post

I use a lot of glue at work and this stuff is great. There epoxy or super glue should do it. http://uk.gorillaglue.com/

POST 6Original post

Above are all good possibilities. Everything except super glue adheres best if you rough up the surfaces slightly. An added suggestion, you might try either bumper cover repair material or gorilla contact cement. Both hold well, fast curing & remain flexible. Silicone adhesive might also be an alternative. Good luck.
