Suggestion

If you are talking about removing the Cosmoline, I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you plan to "show" the car.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello folks..., Just out of curiosity....is it possible to get the engine of our beloved Porsche look like new...(and i mean oil pan engine block and all...) for the moment i cleaned the engine with engine degreaser and the engine is now clean but not look like when it was new (like silver in color)....any idea... POST 2Original post

If you are talking about removing the Cosmoline, I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you plan to "show" the car. The Cosmoline is there to protect the engine and components from the elements. There are plenty of threads on how to clean it up if you really want to go down that road. Just do a search on Cosmoline.

POST 3Original post

Cryo-detaling is covered in DEc 11 Kassette magazine. seems to be just as good if not better than steamcleaning.
