Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all, wanted to get some input from those in the know about a 996tt. Looking at my first Porsche, time for something besides a vette. Have been looking for about a month and have found a really clean 2002 with 22,000 miles. Bone stock, 2nd owner and has clean PPI and service history from 2005 to present. I'm at $45K, seller wants $50K. He isn't really budging but I do not want to overpay for a car that I know I really like, but until you live with it awhile hard to know if you really love it. Any input would be appreciated.

POST 2Original post

Very hard to say from the info here but the best wisdom may be to continue the search so you can put that extra $5000 in perspective a little better after looking at other cars.

POST 4Original post

Its a total buyer's market for 996T's IMO, browse the for-sale section on here and 6speedonline and you will get a better feel for the market.

POST 5Original post

Logic over emotion, something to keep in mind. With that said, if that particular car speaks to you in some way(color combo, certain options, stain on the seat, etc) and you plan on keeping it for awhile, go for it and don't look back.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
