Other plans are for a respray on the front bumper and replace the aero side skirt that the original owner cracked when trying to jack up the car.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Share your Porsche gift bonanza with the crowd!
Mine received proper made-in-the-USA Coco Mats (in black with red flecks) and the correct umbrella. I could never justify buying the Porsche bumbershoot myself, but gladly accepted one as a gift - actually very cool.
She got her Christmas presents early:
Garage floor tile so her "feet" didn't have to stand on hard concrete overnight
New Ti lug bolts (a.k.a "wheel jewelry")
New shoes - Michelin PSS
Oil Change at home
Total value about $3,000
Wife's Christmas presents were about $1,600.... OOPS!
My 996 got nothing this year, but I got Porsche clothing
My CTT got new shoes... Oh... the tire shop scratched all 4 wheels on the install so I am getting them all redone next week.
A garage with finished drywall and paint (and heat) finally. I just have to finish sanding the drywall mud and then paint it. Then she will get an oil change and a thorough cleaning. She will also be connected to the Battery Tender for the rest of the winter.
Other plans are for a respray on the front bumper and replace the aero side skirt that the original owner cracked when trying to jack up the car.
It was my first christmas with the car. I think im obsessed
Clear side markers,

New Balance Minimus 20 for "barefoot" driving,
and 3 liters of fresh oem tranny fluid I'll install this week

Steel strut bodies for the front dampers
And I'm about to go out and do some grilles & re-route the radiator airflow.
DIY Charcoal cabin filter change, rear brakes and wear sensors, complete coolant and brake fluid changed, serpentine belt, radiators power wash cleaned, air filter, oil change, a wash and a short (undisclosed) blast on turnpike. My first Porsche 911 Christmas and suprise 79th birthday present. What a Christmas.. The best yet.
A Durametric "mind reader", and an all-expenses paid trip for my car to play with a bunch of her Porsche friends for 4 days at the end of February--I will naturally donate my time to personally chaperone
. Might have to buy her some new shoes before the trip.
Hurdi...70th or 79th, super cool either way. Are you also considering any Boxing Day gifts for your new car (hint, hint)?
2 rear Hankook EVO 12's (replaced worn Pirellis),
front break job,
Porsche umbrella (I had no idea there was a place for this in the passenger door well)
Avic700bt touchscreen nav
diamond audio speakers
short shifter with agency power solid link
powder coated purple roll bar
tarret front drop links
Probably going to catch **** for this but LED front headlights and rear tails bc I can't stand the out dated look. I really didn't want to go through with what all needed to be done to update to the newer 996 oem headlights.
LED third brake light
3 spoke steering wheel
3 spoke airbag cover (I'm deleting all my airbags)
Ti lug bolts
sachs sport clutch
aasco lwfw

new oil cooler
new water pump

Next on the line up of things will be:
ECU tune
15 lb Recaro leather pole position seats
oem carbon fiber hood painted to match paint
adjustable rear dog bones, sway bar links, and lower toe
JRZ triple adj coilovers
GT3 sway bar set
A redesigned exhaust system
lightweight wheels
Major weight reeduction. I'm aiming to get to 2500lbs
The last step will be if I decide to stay all motor to take it to a 3.8 with Ti rods or swap in a 996tt engine.
I really love boost but a well built all motor in a lightweight car is amazing enough. Till spring hits when the tax return pours in B)
If you didn't notice I spoil my cars lol
Thank god for only having girlfriends and no kids!
I am thinking of investing in those metal pedal covers. I think they look very sharp. By the way I am 70 years of age not 79 but hope to be still driving a 911 at 90 years of age lol. Yeh my wife saw me drooling over the carrera's for sale on Ebay about a month before I left the states to visit my kids and grand kids back in the UK.
When I returned to the States in my caddie, there was a gorgeous 1999 C2 Cab with removable top waiting for me in the garage.
As they say in the UK.. I was gob smacked to say the least. Who could think of a better 70th birthday present than that?
MAF....throwing the ABS light when accelerating and getting a CEL for the O2's.
