Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got bit by the bug back in 07 but had to delay/postpone getting a P-car till now. Finally found one: 02 996 C2 cab (Arctic Silver with Metropol Blue interior), tip, well optioned from the factory plus a few aftermarket goodies. Seller (who manages a speed shop) also modded the exhaust and airbox for free plus service credits for future work at their shop. Enough with the chatter, on to the pics (want to be on the good side of the pic ho's)

POST 5Original post

Very nice looking example of the cabs! Great color combo, Enjoy and welcome!

POST 6Original post

Another convert, welcome to Rennlist. Beautiful cab.

POST 8Original post

Nice I like your wheels. The blue interior is a matter of taste but looks like the car is in great shape. The service credits is a nice perk.

POST 9Original post

Congrats and give us your impressions of the car once you have had a chance to drive it a bit! Pete

POST 11Original post

Very nice car. I have always liked the arctic silver/Metropolitan blue combination on the 996. I wanted one myself. What kind of exhaust is on it? Enjoy.

I was ambivalent about them earlier but getting to like them more. Black was my preference but this shade of blue actually looks MORE black most of the time Future service credits was indeed icing on the cake. Finalized purchase 2 weeks ago but had to take a trip overseas so I delayed delivery of the car. Flew in to LAX last 26DEC and seller offered to pick me up at the airport to officially hand over the car to me. The 120-mile drive home was pure bliss and I am still grinning ear-to-ear. I am predominantly a motorcycle guy (I have a Hayabusa which feeds my need for speed) so I can appreciate handling and acceleration. This car did not disappoint very pleasantly surprised at how quickly it gets to "oh shat" speeds I concur The seller's shop did their in-house version of Fister D's mod to the factory exhaust....no drone in the cab, not incessant, nice snarl when I hit the GO PEDAL. THANKS ALL for the welcome and compliments.

POST 14Original post

Thanks. The seller advertised the rims as " 19-inch MonoForged " but I have been unsuccessful with Google to get more info about it. Was actually hoping that someone would recognize it. FWIW, I will crawl under the car later to check on any stamping/marking on the back side of the rims.

Thanks, Ted. Got yours yet?

POST 25Original post

Nice find. Love the wheels. Gen 1 996's are the best value for performance dollar right now. It seems like the greater Porsche community is starting to see them for what they are - another incremental improvement to the 911 bloodline.
