Hello there. I have had my first 911 (1999) for three weeks and a day and have put about 1000m on it so far. Its been fun to say the least. I have a question regarding the handbrake. I have to pull it ALL the way up to the last notch in order for it to hold. I know this cannot be rght. I do also leave it in gear when I park, however, I would prefer it if my handbrake worked correctly. Having done a search I came across this link for the for the 993 https://rennlist.com/forums/964-1989...ing-brake.html . Is this the same way to adjust on the 996? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Speaking of under the oddments box. Funny story here the dealer wanted to replace my cars handbrake switch because the light on the dash wouldn't work. After I removed the center console, I found about $20 in change (including foreign coins). Enough lose change wedged in there that it caused the switch to not work.
