No issues what so ever, so I took it a step further and replaced all the interior lights with LED's as well.

I bought an extra set just in case one burns out, but theyre still running strong.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ok right then,
So if I measure the resistance across a normal festoon bulb and then match that all should be well no?.
Or is it due to the current draw?
I will try first because the resistance is going to be minimal.
If its the current "Doh".
I agree, stealth in that sense is always good. But if you are getting stopped, there's no difference.
I like the clean updated look of LED's. People with vanity/custom plates bought them for a reason, why not make them shine a little nicer.
In a way I think cops are less likely to stop you if you have a brighter than normal lit up plate.
I'm not in it for the cops, I'm in it for a personal preference. I want that look over what the cop thinks about the lighting of my plate.
I think it looks sharp, crisp, modern, and sick!
I understand the pros and cons for this mod.
This is possibly more for the younger crowd, or understood better by the younger crowd.
Ive updated mine plate lights with LED's from superbright. Really gives a modern look and feel. No issues what so ever, so I took it a step further and replaced all the interior lights with LED's as well.

You should take a pic at night of course with the whole interior lit-up. Not sure I'd push it that far, but would be very interesting! Wonder how it looks woth the door lights since they have red in plastic.
Funny I actually have the LED's and went back to the softer not as harsh glow of the incandecent. I did however go with the 4,000k replacement and think it is a happy medium.
Since "Hoen' does not make assemblies for the 996 and apparently, they are out of stock of the 997 assemblies, can anybody attest to these assemblies from ebay??

Did they look too 'ricer' for you ? I see many ghetto trucks and suv's with bright led plate lights and they look sooooooooooo ridiculous! They're so bright, that they actually light the road underneath them and resemble headlight beams. If they only knew how stupid they look
I'm with you..
I saw a Cayman the other day and they must have done the LED's on the license plate lights, Looked light a spotlight hitting the ground.
With Superbright LED's you can pick the Kelvin level that suits your tasts. I picked cool white (5000k-8000k) for the tag plate and warm white (2500k-4000k) for all interior. Take a look at the site for more choices.

I got mine from some unknown on Ebay. It's not over-kill at all and looks perfect in fact the light spreads so evenly that it looks better than the Lexus ones.
I'll take a night shot tonight If I can and post it tomorrow morning.
Sorry I have been really busy lately...
Pics will be up by tomorrow morning!! And I really forget who the seller was on Ebay. If I recall correctly, the title of the ad was 996 LED license plate bulbs or something similar. I bought an extra set just in case one burns out, but theyre still running strong. I'll take a pic of the spare LED bulbs I have and how it lights up tonight!!
