i prsonally have the ida-x001 with 6.5 component type-r speakers and a single 1042 type-R subwoofer with a MRP-m650 .amp and it sounds amazing, just make sure to use sound deadner expecially under the rear seeats and the trunk.

Hi guys, Swapping out my headunit. What do you guys recommend? Pioneer, Kenwood? I do not have a external power amp and was thinking of ipod connectivity too. All suggestion welcome! Specific models please. Cheers!
