Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The rotors were replaced during the brake job as well.
Leading evidence: 'Replace rotors' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean process first' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I use the spot free rinse setting as this produces a spray with a lot less force.

I will try the cleaning process first, then based on result the rebedding.

Suggestion
No need to trigger the ABS but you want to really use the brakes agressively to really slow the car down.

Be sure you drive the car immediately after this brake wash job to use the brakes enough to get them hot enough to completely dry the brakes of all water.

Suggestion
A good washing using the soap setting at the local DIY car wash to thoroughly wet/soap down the brake hardware and rotor -- do not jam the wand nozzle end up close the brake piston areas though!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The Porsche dealership performed the last brake job prior to my purchase (April 2010) and up until three months ago, the brakes were quiet. Now they are squealing like nails on a chalkboard. The rotors were replaced during the brake job as well. I pulled the pads on all four corners this weekend and there is substantial brake material left. The squealing only occurs after the brakes are very warm and not all the time. Current mileage is 71k, brakes and rotors changed at 64k. Any thoughts on a solution?
Couple of things... you already had the pads off so I guess there was nothing caught in one of the pads? The other brake hardware was ok. All clips, retainers, pins, etc. all present and accounted for, nothing broken or loose or installed incorrectly? The brake sensors in place and nothing making any contact where it shouldn't?
Another possibility is the brakes are dirty. A good washing using the soap setting at the local DIY car wash to thoroughly wet/soap down the brake hardware and rotor -- do not jam the wand nozzle end up close the brake piston areas though! -- followed by a thorough rinsing. I use the spot free rinse setting as this produces a spray with a lot less force.
Be sure you drive the car immediately after this brake wash job to use the brakes enough to get them hot enough to completely dry the brakes of all water.
If the washing trick doesn't work, as a last resort you might consider a rebedding of the brakes. Take the car out where you can drive it at highway speed and apply the brakes rather hard to slow the car down pretty quickly.
No need to trigger the ABS but you want to really use the brakes agressively to really slow the car down.
But do not bring the car to stop.
Accelerate back up to speed again as quick as you can and reapply the brakes.
Each time you do this you should feel the brakes bite harder.
For new brakes I've never had to do this more than 3 maybe 4 times, tops.
For brakes with miles on them, just 2 times, maybe 3, tops.
If the brakes don't feel better after the 1st or 2nd braking and the noise is still present or worse, stop the bed in procedure. There's something else amiss.
After the last braking event drive the car long enough to give the brakes and related hardware plenty of time to cool down.
Added: This really should be at the top, but I reread your post and see the brakes were done not too many miles ago. There's a warranty on the parts and labor and you probably should before you do any of the above take the car to the dealer and have the brakes checked.
Sincerely,
Macster.
Thanks one and all. I will try the cleaning process first, then based on result the rebedding. Called the dealership and no warrenty is tranferred to the new owner if not purchased from the dealership. The dealership did confirm the brake job was performed.
