Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My best buddy has a line on a 2005 Turbo Coupe at a reasonable cost. He's going to end up shipping it from Washington to Chicago. But first, we need to find someone to do a PPI on the car.
The car is located in Bonney Lake, Washington 98391. I checked Mapquest, and Bonney Lake is south of Seattle and southeast of Tacoma. Anyone have a recommended wrench in that area? Seller said that he could take it to the Porsche dealer in the area. That could be OK, but I have always tended to get a PPI from an independent. I don't know if that's good or bad, it's just the way I've done it.
Suggestions are welcome.

You guys slay me.
I am sure that you would just LOVE to drive the car to a PPI. I don't know how flexible the owner is going to be on driving an hour to get a PPI done. I'll have to check with my friend. Certainly, I told him, no matter the age or condition, I would never buy a Porsche without a PPI, and he's agreed.
It's just a matter of working out the details now. I'll keep you posted. If anyone can come up with a well respected place in Tacoma, that would be closer and easier to get to.

Larry,
I would advise that your friend stand firm on the PPI issue. My buddy just bought a 70K mile 996 C4S for $28K out of TN and the previous owner drove 3 hrs to the PPI shop of the buyer's choice. Be patient. If the owner wants to sell the car, then he will not mind the hour drive. We call that customer service nowadays!!
Ivan -- I've already had that question addressed. We don't want no stinking tip!!
The PPI is not an issue. There WILL be a PPI. I don't know what the flexibility is for the seller. I heard that he is selling the car for his father. Maybe the "old man" (careful, Larry, you're describing yourself) will take the car on a goodbye trip for the PPI.
Thanks for the suggestion.
