Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is anyone running M97 exhaust headers on an M96 engine? Do they bolt right up? They look different but I'm not sure if the bolt pattern etc. are the same. Thanks

POST 2Original post

They do bolt up but we have experienced low-end power loss on a 996 3.6L and removed them..

POST 3Original post

I have heard that the standard M96 header design is actually a better design than the early M97 headers. I believe later M97 headers are now more similar in design to M96.

POST 4Original post

+1.... just look at the 997 x51 headers... they look like our stock headers.
