Yes, you can have it programmed NOT to auto-lock when you start driving, that way it is not locked when you go to open your door again. i hate that feature so i have it turned off. the only way it gets locked while i'm inside is if I push the "lock" button on the dash.

I'm not sure but around the first of the year it was mentioned the dealer has the equipment to program the feature. It happened to me one time for some unknown reason and I didn't even press the door lock switch. Could of been flipping the key back and forth a couple of times from locked to unlocked before opening the door or my remote key fob worked for some reason.

Yeah, my mechanic, when he had his computer hooked up to my car, asked me if I wanted to change that setting. So, I guess its pretty easy for anyone who has one of those computer things - ok i looked it up, a PST2.

I recently acquired a '02 C4 Cab and it works just as you desire, can't say I know how to get it set as it came this way, but, I can tell you you can have it work the way you wish.
