Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just thought that I haven't read any recent posts with Ed's participation. Has he taken another self induced forum sabatical, or has he decided that tracking his AC Porsche is so much fun that he left his family and has decided to become a factory Porsche racing driver? Where are you Ed?

POST 3Original post

I was wondering the same thing..... knowing Ed, he'll be back soon and will post like a maniac. It has been quiet w/o him for sure.

POST 4Original post

You don't have a problem if you don't recognize that you have one. Once you do you're done.

POST 5Original post

I thought the air cooled guys finally got to him

POST 8Original post

I think he wanted to leave his post count at 10,000. I'm guessing he'll garage his car for an extended period when it rolls over to 100,000 (or 200,000)

POST 9Original post

Geez... I do some travel for work come back and Ed drops off the face of Rennlist... we better send someone to his house to reel him back in

POST 10Original post

Maybe he is stuck under a mountain of useless parts. Damn hoarder!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think he's taping a new TV show, "American Porsche Parts Picker" on the History channel.

POST 12Original post

or he's writing a new "how to buy parts" book (the AC version).

POST 13Original post

thanks guys... nothing special just time for a break. LOL @ Pete.... not far off PS... LOVE the new avatar Ferd

schweeet..... post 10k +1...... Thanks!

POST 18Original post

I think Ed's legs look great now that he has started to shave them!

POST 19Original post

@ 10,000 posts Ed needs to be in rehab along with Lindsey Lohan, because they both have some serious addiction issues.

POST 20Original post

Whoa: 10,000 + posts....very impressive.....maybe the 996 forum should be re-named the Eddlist?

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ed is not currently on the radar....do you still drive a Porsche Ed?

POST 24Original post

I heard he was trolling for spare parts in Alabama.

POST 25Original post

LOL guys, Yea Steve - still putting the 86' thru its paces EVERYDAY !! tuned the air/mixture a couple weeks ago and now I cant get the milage to come down below about 15even with it floored all the time !! - I think I need a bigger gas pedal next the thing is amazingly spirited and once you get used to no ABS its actually quite fun to see how hard you can brake and not lock em up.... I am chewing pads up fast though - lets see... other than that nothing major, windshield leak fixed, speedometer fixed, shifter fixed, steering hub fixed, wheel bearings fixed, CHT sensor this weekend, new seats, ..... must be more? the best part is I have not washed it in 2 months.... very dirty....and I dont really care, I am just driving and smiling, even take the dogs sometimes (labs) though the windshield will have to be cleaned as there are SOOOO many nose prints on it.. cheers guys, have a good one

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the update Ed, nice to know you are still in the family.

POST 27Original post

CHT Sensor done tonight, feels good.... tough little bugger to get at but a pretty simple job... now I need to re-adjust my front wheel bearings,.... but not tonight get ready for winter driving.... its FUN !!
