Suggestion
I bought a flawless front bumper cover (in Midnight Blue Metallic - so no paint necessary) that was removed from a new 996 turbo to replace my damaged one and I paid $600 for it.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I recently had an accident that required replacing the front bumper (all covered by insurance). I kept the damaged bumper because I wanted to practice touching up the scratch that it had gotten long before the accident.
My question is: would this be saleable after I'm done practicing? Aside from the scratch, it's got some other damage (1/8" hole from whatever hit me on the Long Island Expressway). I'm hoping that even in this state that I could get something for it.
Any ideas what I could ask for it?
Thanks.

Looks like ones in better condition are going for around $300 on eBay. From what I can see in the picture, it looks like something that a body shop can "fix". Probably most street car owners won't be all that interested, but folks with race cars are often looking for things like that. Racers often don't worry as much about aesthetic perfection.
to follow up on what MGLOBE said. I have a new unpainted front with a slight flaw and a dented rear bumber as replacement parts for my 2002 race car. Total cost for both $100.

My friend has a bumper (black 2004) in great condition that he is interested in selling. If interested PM me and I will see want he wants for it. Paint is in great shape.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, that photo was taken last fall at our previous home in Indiana -not here in Evergreen. You gotta love the colors in the midwest! We're loving Evergreen though. We've been here since May. Here are a couple of photos from that day - the first one is the one in the avatar (I believe) which was taken on our street, and the second one is of the car sitting in my driveway.
