It's a buzzing noise, and I checked the belt and tensioner belt it's OK.
Leading evidence: 'Check belt and tensioner belt it's ok' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check belt and tensioner belt it's ok' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

The drive for the pump fits into the end of the exhaust cam but make sure that you put it back in with the same orientation that it is installed with now.

I know that some people have used the expanding plug for the drain hole in a boat.

I used a pilot bearing puller but it can punch a hole in the tube.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Check close and see if its just the valve cover. If it's the valve cover its a special tool to lock the cams in while cleaning valve cover mating surfaces and resealing. I believe there isn't a gasket and just a sealing compound. The part with all the bolts you on it and your red circles are on is the valve cover not the head so that's good.
You could clean it up and watch for the source. Mine does a little leaking after flooring it some times. Maybe try cleaning it then hitting the gas real hard with a good rev then pull over and see if you can spot the leak.
Since it's just a sealant compound extra tightening wont compress a gasket any more.
1. Cam has to be locked in with special tool
2. Clean both surfaces up and reseal.
The valve covers are what holds the cams in.
Look above from the second photo theres a one way valve that vents for the AOS. See if the oil is coming from there. It's hard to see unless you look from above and have to push the coolant line over to see under it at the check valve....
How come the picture does not look right? The picture #1 is of head 1-3, but the exhaust is backwards. Is this in a Boxster? If it is, I have to say the AOS is leaking or the connector tube is ripped.

I think its a Boxster I saw another theard he had posted.
"I'm going to take Oil leaks for $300 Alex....."
"Ok common oil in area not know for oil circulation..."
"What is AOS?"
"Ewww sorry the answeris "AOS lines"..... you needed to be more specific"
"Suck it Trebeck"
The AOS is the Air Oil Separator. There is a flexible tube that connects the bottom of the AOS to the head. This can split and allow oil to run down head 1-3 or if the AOS goes bad internally can allow oil to overflow out a vent on head 4-6. It's much easier to replace the AOS on a Boxster and I would replace the entire part ($120). Here is a replacement link

Not sure if I agree with the others here. If it is coming from the AOS or the breather tube for the AOS there will be lots of oil coming down from the top of the engine and I don't really see this. The larger circle could be a leak from the scavenger pump which seals with an o-ring. The smaller circle looks like a leak from the spark plug tube. There are o-rings at the top and bottom of the plastic tube and the tubes themselves can crack. Both of these are easier to fix than the AOS.
I had check it and I think Dharn55 is in the correct way the AOS is dry. You can see in this pic that the oil leak is under the AOS tube:
So the problem would be from this pump, inside the large circle (the cover with 4 allen screw) and the spark hole?
What should I do? remove the cam cover and the scavenger pump cover? thanks.
Do you think there's any relationship betwen this oil leak and this engine noise (see video atached). It's a buzzing noise, and I checked the belt and tensioner belt it's OK.

the sound of the video is louder than the real sound.
I haven't worked on a Boxster, just a 996. However, you should be able to remove the scavenger pump with the engine in the car. Just the 4 bolts hold it in. The drive for the pump fits into the end of the exhaust cam but make sure that you put it back in with the same orientation that it is installed with now. Use some nail polish to mark the pump and the head so you don't reverse it. There are marks on the pump for the 1-3 side and the 4-6 side. DON'T REVERSE THE PUMP WHEN YOU RE-INSTALL IT.
For the spark plug tube you just remove the coil and plug (actually you can replace it with the plug installed. Removing the tube can be difficult, you need something that will expand inside it. I used a pilot bearing puller but it can punch a hole in the tube. I know that some people have used the expanding plug for the drain hole in a boat. You can get one at a marine supply store.
You don't have to remove the cam cover for either of there repairs.
Might want to check if your a/c is on and if so shut it off.
Other than that it sounds like an engine to me.
This is from a guy that has decided to listen a little closer since I think a fuel injector has been trying to fool me into thinging its a valve tick. First thing I did after a month away was throw some injector cleaner in to get rid of gummy stuff that undoubtably formed from drying effects and I think it helped a bit. I hope guys that store their cars for winter always pre treat fuels and flush or clean things up after storing the cars during winter.
I checked the a.c, streering wheel, water pump, tensioner and belt and all of them are ok.
Dharn55, thanks for your advice to remove the spark plug tube.
