Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm in the process of moving to the Atlanta area, more specifically the Lawrenceville area (Cisco) as part of a job change. Noticed a black C2 with a wing and headlight covers in the lot when I parked today so at least my DD won't be alone. How many do we have on the forum and are there any get togethers in the area?

POST 2Original post

I live in Lawrenceville. That sounds like the 996 I sold last year. The guy I sold it too works at Cisco, the building off Sugarloaf I think. Is this the car? I believe the current owner is a Rennlister as well.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup. Looks like the car I parked next to this morning.

POST 4Original post

The local PCA chapter is very active in Atlanta, but most of the active members are on the west side of town it seems. That's where most of the activities are. They do an autocross at the Gwinnett fairgrounds every year, and of course there are events at Road Atlanta regularly. There are also several trips into the mountains, particularly in the fall. They meet in Roswell usually, but you can fall in along the route in several places. The last one of those I went on there were three separate groups of cars, and the first group was really fast. I burned out my brake pads trying to hang with them. The second and third groups were dropped back quite a ways. If you aren't familiar with the area, take off up I-85 to I-985, then get off on hwy 129 and just roam around. There are some great roads through N. Georgia and into NC and TN. In a few weeks the place will be packed with every car club you can imagine, along with the leaf watchers.

POST 5Original post

Tom, just noticed this thread. Not sure if you've moved yet, but, if so - Welcome to Atlanta! The black 996 there at Cisco actually belongs to my brother-in-law, Bo. Look him up, he's part of the original Scientific Atlanta gang. I can really recommend the local PCA chapter. Pretty active group and we have meeting on Monday - check out the web site for more info http://www.peachstatepca.org/Default.asp Would love to get together for a North GA run. The roads are a blast.

POST 6Original post

I'll be there this weekend (hopefully in the 996) going to the Peachtree BMW club autocross at Lake Lanier. My gf is at GA Tech so I am up there all the time.
