I might consider it now, I used to never own a car for more than 6 mths so buying a $1000 roof rack seemed impractical last year, especially since I would change my rack between cars.

I have a 100 piece socket set with breaker bar, screw driver set, allan key set, blow torch, lighters, candles, tow ropes, jumper cables, battery charger, duct tape, twist ties, and food and water supply

Having a universal is much more convenient, esp since I dont use my porsche that often for ski trips since there isn't a lot of usable space for equipment when my trunk is already loaded with my emergency kit.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jordan, I am 23 and a full time student up in the Great White North most refer to as Canada. I am also a douchebag. Girls love me until they discover I am a douchebag, guys want to be me until they discover I am a douchebag. I don't really work a whole lot and was recently rejected from the local porsche owners club because I didn't fit the image they like to represent.
I have been involved in cars since I have been 16, I have owned and modified over 20 cars. Currently I have a 1997 Civic hatch as a track car, an 08 Nissan Titan as a car hauler, and the reason I joined this site, an 02 Carrera C4S.
I bought the car just over a year ago in minty mint shape. It had 0 accident history, it came with every service record down to the gas receipt and a daily milage log. I picked it up with approx 21000 miles / 34000 km and has been the daily driver since. It is now sitting at around 27000 miles / 44000 km. I bought it lowered on H&R euro spec springs, with GT2 exhaust tips, pedal covers, and shifter. I have added my signature decals, but intend to keep it fairly stock since I already have a track car, maybe a set of wheels and exhaust.
Here are some pics of the beast from a photo shoot after a day of snowboarding:
I seen some pics of your car on Flickr...
First time I drove my car in the snow yesterday cause we got this pretty crazy snow fall here in Ottawa. I enjoyed the all AWD but it still has very stiff suspension for winter driving...
I absolutely Love this car in the snow, it seriously has the best AWD I have driven on. I just threw on a good set of high performance winters and am good to go. I used to own a Subaru STI, AWD Talon, infinity g35x, 4x4 ram 3500, jeep cherokee, jeep grand cherokee, Nissan titan, etc I prefer the porsche AWD system to all of these.
When I used to work I was in Yellowknife NWT where porsche does some of their winter testing. After seeing how they performed there, I figured I would have no problem driving it in Edmonton. Ground Clearance on a lowered car was a bit of a pain but I only got hung up once last year. Now I keep an emergency kit in my trunk and am prepared for everything.

Pics of my car can be found all over the place my car has a few dedicated facebook pages for spottings around the city. This picture set has been posted on a bunch of the other car forums that I belong to as well.
On Flickr the two photographers that shot the car posted the pictures, Raymond Saw, and Jeffrey Chin who have both had their work published in Import Tuner and work for the local exotic car dealership.
The pictures of my car have also made a few online publications and blogs. I guess a carrera with a ski rack in the snow with a hello kitty decal aren't very common ha ha
I might consider it now, I used to never own a car for more than 6 mths so buying a $1000 roof rack seemed impractical last year, especially since I would change my rack between cars. I may be picking up another vehicle soon to split up the daily driving between the porsche, and truck. Having a universal is much more convenient, esp since I dont use my porsche that often for ski trips since there isn't a lot of usable space for equipment when my trunk is already loaded with my emergency kit.
On a side note I am surprised no body has complained about my decals, especially the Hello Kitty. That is usually the first thing a forum will criticize when I post pictures of my car, and was a big part of my local porsche club's reason for rejecting my application.
Particularly if you're going to drive hard, the Porsche roof rack is unbeatable. They go for a lot of money used, perhaps you can buy it used, and resell if you decide not to get another Porsche. The ski rack/snowboard attachments can work with other roof rack systems fairly easily (can be converted to others, and will work with late model VW/Audi, some BMW racks with minimal or no work).
As for the Kitty stickers, the Rennlist crowd is pretty lenient, people will compliment the gaudiest of things on here board, but to each his own, as for me, I don't think they look that objectionable. Not my thing, but kind of fun actually.
Also, I've never heard of the Porsche Club not accepting people, they don't even look at your car when you apply here, I guess up there it's a boys club, who knows. Looks like you're having fun w/the car, and really that's all that matters.
The local club would probably frown on a gun truck in Afghanistan with a teddy bear attached to the outside of its turret too. Be glad about being turned down since they would have been a pretty big disappointment after joining. Your story sounds like your Porsche club is treating membership as a personal club and not a P car club. They should get reorganized for that stunt i.e. loose there charter till they answer up to reality. That means the loss of funding for get together partys and all.
Anyway, nice car and as they say p car drivers are rude......so..... screw them. Party on
The nurds don't know how to handle their wives making them walk the little dogs.

Nice C4S. Gotta love driving in the snow. Sorry to hear about the local Porsche club not accepting your application. At least the gang your "shouting" out the hand signals to didn't kick you out because of the Hello Kitty sticker. JK! Enjoy the car.
OK, here a go:
The stickers look ridiculous, maybe you should join the local Honda club!
Just messing with you , Welcome to Rennlist!
What club rejected you?
Welcome! Nice car...I like the N-ring decal! I did not know you could get kicked out of P-car club for little kitty decals unless you put them on someone else's car!
Nice car. Congrats. Looks like you are having fun with it.
I am not offended by your decals at all. To each his own. Not sure why you depreciate yourself though. You may actually be the dbag you are describing. But until proven on this board, I'll personally give you the benefit of the doubt.
So, welcome!
Given his track car, he probably is member of the Honda club too! I am also confused on P-clubs rejecting applications. More details?
FM
I cannot believe that a PCA region would reject someone for decals on their car. If that was the case, an email to the Zone Rep (see Panorma or
www.pca.org
for the address would get the decision reversed I think.
I find it hard to believe that he was formally "rejected". It could have been that members of the club are of a certain age group, with a certain income, and a certain level of maturity (good or bad) that doesn't appreciate a very hondaesque type of owner.
There probably weren't to many people interested in speaking with him and he took it as rejection.
if somebody walked into a room and screamed "Hey! I'm a DBAG!!!"
I'd say, "Yes, I do believe you are........"
Sweet pics. Nice car.
And, yes, you look like a douchbag. But welcome just the same!
i almost bought a Targa from Edmonton in August but the seller got hung up on a valuation from Norden and wouldn't sell it for what it was really worth. See you 'round (the site)!
I was not formally rejected from the PCA and am not sure which brach specifically it was. I was invited to the Panamera release party at the local dealership and was talking to a few older gentlemen, when they said that they were part of the club I inquired further, they said it cost alot of money to join, so I pulled out a wad of cash, them having seen my car, my age, the way I dress, the piece of dirt girl I brought to the event etc. they said they didn't I think I would fit in with the club very well and 'advised' me not to join.
For those that don't believe it is my car here is a pic
As I said before, this set of photos has become quite popular and gone around the internet a couple times
As far as being part of other clubs, a couple of the shops that I order a bunch of my civic parts through always invite me to their track days, so getting time isn't an issue, plus if I was part of the porsche club I would almost be expected to drive my porsche when my true enjoyment comes from driving my civic around the track
You judge before you see, here are a couple pics of my dirty girl from our trip to italy.
As I said previously I am a douche bag. I am a sarcastic ******* that treats people like **** in general. Women seem to like it or are amused by it at first until they boot my as to the curb when they find out it is actually the way I am.
I suspect it's going to be a rough road here too. We're not here to judge but when people seem to enjoy the act of being abrasive, they're going to get the reaction they are looking for.
Welcome to the forum.
Who is Ben Choi? I am not related none the less, I am not asian.
The club I was going to try and get in was $1200/year and involved a bunch of track days and driving instructors.
Hey Jordan I am a fairly new member of Rennlist and don't profess to speak for everyone here. For the few months that I have been here I have to say that all of the people I've met have been over the top nice and absolutely generous with there time and support. There is clearly a sarcastic edge that many enjoy and there are some topics that get quite a passionate response. Overall it is a great community and I think you will reap the respect you choose to sow or not show.
BTW/ I was gifted a special kitty decal from some colleagues over in China. I think these are quite popular there. If anyone is interested in pm me. I think I am willing to part with mine.
I'd like to make one more point. I think IMHO you're setting yourself up for harrassment here by, talking about flashing money, talk in a degrading manner about someone you're with, and adding the fact you state fairly early on that you don't work "much". Most people here perfer a little civility and positive input on the forums. If you physically came into a room full of us and said hey I'm new here and love the marque, we'd all get along pretty well. But if you just come in and fart then talk about how you flashed "a wad of cash" then expect everyone to buddy up because you tell us that's the way you are, I don't think it's going to happen.
Just my $0.02.
How's Edmonton BTW? Fricken cold yet?
Well there was warnings for snow as early as september 5th so I had my winters put on September 4th since then it has been pretty nice to about Oct 25th, aka the temperature was between 5 and 10 degrees celcius or 40-45 degrees farenheit for you americans. We got a decent snow on the 25th and had been sitting around -7 to 0 C or 20 to 32 F since.
I lived in Calgary for several years. All I can remember from that was that everyspring everyone basically had cracked windshields since they were using peagravel on the roads..... Certainly don't miss that.
As others have said in a very civil way, might be a good idea to tone it down a bit. If you don't you will have proved your first post to be true.
Welcome to RL!
Surreal!
I couldn't stop reading!!! I read the whole thread twice.
It had fast cars, women, money & more! And to be fair, more pix posted than you usually see in a posting.
Ask and you shall receive. Here are some more pics from our Italy trip, hopefully these will satisfy your needs for now. I may be convinced to post the real dirty pictures for fiscal compensation

My Photos, My Facebook account, she is tagged in them, i don't see a problem, nor do i really consider her opinion important when it comes to my posts on car forums. I don't really expect you to believe that i stuck it in that, I can barely believe I subjected myself to it. 99% of everything on the internet is a lie, except Wikipedia which is gospel (sarcasm), But if I really did want to post someone to brag about, I would have actually picked someone that is hot by internet standards, not the low standards I follow in real life.
