I did use new ones though and the tool I used was many decades old, and I'm guessing there are better tools out there.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Foam seat cushion seems to be bottoming out. Has anyone replace just the foam under the leather seat bottom?

POST 2Original post

Yep, I did when the seat bottom heater went out. Not the hardest job, a bit tedious, but definitely DIY I used this guide: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...r-cushion.html

Where did you get replacement seat foam?

POST 4Original post

My local dealer. Find your seats, Comfort or Sport, on here: http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p..._911_parts.php And then you can find the corresponding seat foam piece to buy.

POST 5Original post

Porsche sells replacement foam, you can get it from the dealer or Pelican. idaho911 any difficulty with reattaching the hog rings? Im planning to tackle this over the winter.

I don't recall any major difficulty reattching the hog rings. I did use new ones though and the tool I used was many decades old, and I'm guessing there are better tools out there. What I DO remember having trouble with is pulling the white plastic clips back through. The new foam is obviously firmer and doesn't have as much give as the old foam. I used bread bag twist ties to loop and them pull them through. See picture. This video helps illustrate it a bit better: You Tube He mentions the tabs around the 13:25 mark.

POST 7Original post

The wide strap under the seat cushion may be broken. There is a plastic crosspiece that may also be broken, if the strap is broken. Here are pics of mine. Thread/post is here: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...l#post17955838

POST 8Original post

Thanks. I really need to do my drivers seat. The foam is definitely getting flat compared to the passenger.
