Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

There is something wrong with a bad plug, bad coil pack, disconnected coil pack or a coil pack not seated properly.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect coil pack or a coil pack not seated properly' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Disconnect coil pack or a coil pack not seated properly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Cleaned it up, installed new plugs and all is now well.

The car ran fine for about 15 minutes then the CEL came on and ran like horse hockey.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I replaced plugs and COPs this weekend. I ordered parts from FCP and was sent Bosch 79173 (FGR5KQEO) plugs. The removed plugs are NGK BKR6EKUB. I now have P0300, P0302, P0303, P0304 and P0306 fault codes. The car ran fine for about 15 minutes then the CEL came on and ran like horse hockey. After cooling down, the same symptom repeated. I will reinstall the old plugs and see if the heat range of 5 instead of 6 is the problem. The car is a 2003 Carrera Coupe. Previous posts here highlighted similar problems which were fixed by going to heat range 6 instead of 5 plugs.
I use the Bosch 79173 (FGR5KQEO) with no issues at all in 02 C2.. curious to see what the results are after you swap plugs.. I will say i one plug that was damaged when I received them from FCP.. threw a code after install and it turns out it was cracked in the ceramic..it was a super tiny crack..swapped it and runs perfect. I would also inspect the plugs also for damage.
A heat range difference of 1 isn't going to throw a ton of codes. There is something wrong with a bad plug, bad coil pack, disconnected coil pack or a coil pack not seated properly.
Well your post was prescient and timely. The #4 coil pack connector was not fully seated. I started with the passenger side since #4 was a bear to get to. I will now put the new plugs back in and try again.
After finding the #4 COP connector not fully seated I went and put the Bosch plugs back in. Same problem. Drive for 5-10 minutes, a hiccup and a check engine light. Same codes as previous.
Reminds me of the time I changed plugs on a super beetle. Car would run but poorly and backfired as I recall. Youd think with only four plug wires I wouldnt have had that problem, but I managed to cross up the two on passenger side.
So, I ordered new NGK 7969 plugs. During the swap from Bosch to NGK I noticed one of the COP connector pins was corroded. Cleaned it up, installed new plugs and all is now well. Was it a corroded pin on the #4 COP or was it the plugs that made a difference? We will probably never know! Just glad to be back on the road again. Washed car and put her away until tomorrow's drive to work.
