Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

- Checked the resistance on speed sensors - they read ~180 ohms.
Leading evidence: 'Check resistance' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check resistance' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

- panel dials don't have any light - ran tests with Durametric cable ( Enthusiast version) and they flash when running the test, but do not come on - dot during the day or the night.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello there,
New to this forum and working on my Porsche - have worked on MBs and BMWs earlier, please don't hold that against me
& excuse me for a rather lengthy first post.
A few miles after changing brake rotors and pads I suddenly have a few codes pop-up and very mysterious symptoms. The codes list first;
Engine Module Codes
P0332
Porsche fault code 211 - Knock sensor 2 Short to ground
P0501
Porsche fault code 120 - Vehicle speed sensor
P0102
Porsche fault code 115 - Mass air flow sensor below limit value
Transmission Codes
22
P1770 Load signal
70
P0740 Solenoid valve - torque conv. clutch
155
It drives fine. but panel is lit like the proverbial Christmas tree - Brake Wear, PSM, ABS, Brake Fluid and CEL. Additionally;
- Speedometer does not show speed (not of LCD or the needle)
- Tail lights do not come on - brake lights work, and reverse gear light works.
- panel dials don't have any light - ran tests with Durametric cable ( Enthusiast version) and they flash when running the test, but do not come on - dot during the day or the night.
I have read through the forum and find suggested solutions to these individually, but wondering if there is a common thread here that might point to a starting point for investigations/fixing.
Any thoughts/ideas much appreciated !
Thanks for the quick response, yelcab.
Will check that out this weekend and report back. Is this a common mistake people make or am a special kind of newbie
If not that, the check all primary electrical connections such as battery terminal and grounds, including Y cable and ground straps.
It could also be a failing battery.
Alright folks, here is a update on this saga.
- Checked the Speed sensor and Brake wear sensor connections, they were not swapped. In fact, they cannot be swapped, as the terminal gaps are sufficiently different.
- Battery is two years old but is reading 12.8 volts without the engine running and the battery charger shows 95% of capacity. Not sure this is the issue.
Followed down some other rabbit holes;
- Checked the resistance on speed sensors - they read ~180 ohms.
- could get two of them to come out and cleaned the holes and sensor and put back. See the pictures on one of them, it seems to be rubbing on the teeth and has some wear on the sensor. Could this be the culprit?
- The harness(es) where Speed sensor and brake sensor connect are pretty worn. I see that there is a check if the harness is still good. Thinking about some connectivy tests to where these harnesses are connected in the trunk. Any wiring/terminal diagrams that show where these are connected would be great. Any thoughts/ideas?
