Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Everyone, I have been searching high and low for a center console delete in graphite gray for my 996. From all suppliers of the Kit, I was made aware Porsche discounted the graphite Gray color. Does anyone know where to source one, or is anyone looking to sell one? Open to other options like buying a kit and having it reupholstered, want to match Oem texture and look of the factory carpet. Any other suggestions, happy to hear them. Thank you

Buying a kit and reupholstering it is probably your best option.

Im thinking thats probably the option Ill end up having to go with. Ill also see if anyone has a used option as well, not in a huge rush

POST 4Original post

Doing the same this fall/winter. You can get the carpet here: https://gahh.com/materials/carpet/ca...e-gray-60-wide

I also have a graphite gray interior and that is the route I was initially going to go. I decided to try it it out as black first and after seeing how it looked with the black center console, I decided to leave it for now. I think it kind of flows with the black console but it probably would stand out a lot more if you have a gray one.

See if Rose Passion has it. They're in France. I bought my Natural Brown center delete from them when absolutely zero were available in the US. https://www.rosepassion.com/en Site is a little clunky, but they respond via email.

will you order a quantity of (1)- Id imagine that should cover the whole re-wrap as the console delete isnt very large

Should be plenty. If you can get it done using a half the material or less, I'll take the other half and split the costs with you. Haven't ordered yet myself as I was waiting to see how the black looked first.

Yaz, Im just waiting to hear back from my upholstery guy now- Id like to order the center console delete and the new graphite carpet from gahh sometime before Friday. Id be more than happy to split it up with you (Im thinking from what their site advertises) it should be more than enough also- and I could ship easily to you- as Im in Northeast Ohio- I see your in Connecticut. I may call gahh tomorrow just to confirm the carpet is in stock also (this years been interesting sourcing certain car parts and many other items generally) Ill be in touch soon

the black center console delete also does look really nice. Really wanting to graphite on mine however-since the po had a light silver painted console ordered from factory (forget which package it was included in, in 01)

POST 13Original post

Delaware Porsche had the cheapest price when I ordered once shipping was included. 986-552-113-02-A01 is the part number for the black console delete assembly, and it includes the side pieces and clamps. The plastic front trim piece is separate, and you have three options with varying finishes and prices: 986-552-241-01-B12 Black grey (cheapest, not painted) 986-552-241-02-A03 Black (PET says its lacquered, so probably soft touch) 986-552-241-02-D05 Granite grey (more expensive) Looks like there is also leather covered trim available if you search 996-552-217-00. Suncoast currently charges the same no matter the choice of carpet or non-leather trim, but you'll still save some money ordering from any of the main discount dealers (Gaudin, Sunset, Delaware..).

Yaz, spoke with my upholstery guy today- he orders a lot of oem carpet from gahh. He actually called them and personally spoke with them yesterday as well in regard to the Kit, after I sent him the link. He mentioned, after speaking with them he felt that the material backing that carpet trim piece has will be too difficult to work with for a rewrap on the console delete. He did say however, that he can do a vinyl wrap to match the graphite color dash exactly. It looks like this may be the path I take. Was pretty surprised and sort of disappointed the carpet solution doesn’t seem to be a solution for him, however I am very interested and sort of intrigued to see the vinyl look continuation from the dash to the delete kit. I can share photos after if anyone else hopes to explore that option with their local upholstery people. I can also ask my place if they will take orders shipped in for anyone that may be interested as well. I’ll get a total cost too once my center console delete is in, and it is rewrapped and share that.

POST 15Original post

How did the graphite gray vinyl wrap turn out? Would love to see pics. I have a graphite gray interior too and am trying to see what alternative options are out there. Seems that sourcing a used one in graphite gray is very unlikely.

Mine turned out great. I ended up getting into a 997 not too long ago or Id have more photos. Heres a few of what I have of it.

POST 17Original post

Looks great! Love how it ties the dash into the center console. Thanks so much for taking the time to share out some photos.

POST 18Original post

Earlier in the thread is the link to the interior carpet, is there anywhere to get the graphite grey alcantara used in the headliner? I'm trying to wrap a 3d printed version of the console delete.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
