Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Reported cause
Gents, My problem was a hose leak and an O-Ring issue.
Leading evidence: 'hose leak and an o-ring issue' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'hose leak and an o-ring issue' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check intake/vacuum leaks' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I can tell from your fuel trims you have a bad vacuum leak....check for vacuum leaks ..

I thought I would follow up, I developed an oil leak that got worse with long hard driving at high RMPS, I took it to my local indy and he replaced the AOS along with all the hoses, (FCP part 996BREATHERKT) definitely fixed the oil leak, I had no other symptoms of AOS failure other then the oil and vacuum.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Glad you got it fixed and reported back..( and it was what I figured)
I've had my 99 for almost 2 months now, and I noticed a hesitant under full throttle acceleration at about 5K rpms, not always, but usually the first time I pass 5k, also once in a while the idle bounce a few hundred rmps, so I plugged in my cheap Bluetooth OBD2 reader and found this pending code.
After a little googling I bought an new MAF, well it took too long to arrive and I did more googling, could be high file pressure or a vacuum leak.
I posted fuel trim at warm idle below. And I just realized I should post vacuum and MAF also, so I'm going to go do that also. Right now.
I should add, it has 63k miles, and had a "major service" done at a Porsche dealership in December.

Those are all the codes I got. It started with the P1123. I don't know if I ever got the p1125? But the P1128 and P1130 I did get, sometimes one and sometimes both. I finally bought a $25 MAF from Amazon and I've been great since. Is it possible your new maf is bad? Of course there are other things that could cause the same issues, from what I've read it could be vacuum leak or bad coils.
Thanks. Well, the coils, spark plugs and MAF are brand new, I was getting the same error codes with the old MAF, so I assume theres gotta be something else going on. The car drives smooth, but Im not sure there is enough power going in, I will drop it off at a shop to get it 100 percent. I want the car to be perfect, I changed too many parts to freshen it up... time to enjoy the car worry free (If thats a thing ;-) with a 97 Boxster )
Check out my recent Fuel Dilution thread as I too am dealing with a P1123 issue. My Durametric readings appear to correlate that the current MAF isnt doing well. Im still waiting for the new MAF to arrive to see if that resolves anything.

Common places for leaks on a 3.4 is the "bellows" below the AOS, the oil fill tube cracked , or one of the rubber connectors on the intake is out of position, oil cap.. ect..

I'm still running the $25 ebay MAF, it seems to run good, except the idle still bounces (100-200rmps)n when warm, sometimes. I'll replace it with a new OEM one at some point and report back.
Gents, My problem was a hose leak and an O-Ring issue. Once those got replaced... no error codes. I also would recommend changing the 02 sensors. I swapped mine and the car drives very very smoothly now. Anyways, just sharing.
Glad you got it fixed and reported back..( and it was what I figured)
FWIW ; for a couple hun more $ you could have installed the UAOS ...no telling how long the OEM AOS will last....but your Indy may not even know about the UAOS...
