Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They got my money, Sept 2021 gave me an 8 week timeframe for delivery for a catted X-pipe. Now they said mid January 2022. Also, I told them on of my Maxflow Cans (after 25K miles) has come loose inside. I was told someone would email me about it. Never heard back from them. Quality product with poor customer service...The delay doesn't bother me, but don't tell me you'll email me about my failed Maxflows and not follow up on it.

POST 2Original post

At least you didn’t order anything from Hanksville Hot Rods.

POST 3Original post

Yeah I’m having similar issues I’m looking to get clamps for my xpipe and they told me it an older system they would have to get back to me as well as a connector rod for the competition air filter it’s been 3 weeks and nada

POST 4Original post

For my 996's, Fisters or GTFO. I due use SOUL on my 7.1 GT3 and it was nice. Every manufacturer has delays, only the good ones will wait to take ALL of your money until it's shipped.

POST 5Original post

A few threads on this forum lately have reinforced the value of communication. Setting realistic expectations goes a long, long, long way. If you don't have the time then say "sorry we can't handle this right now." It's better than a promise that is not delivered. Just echoing this as I know many of us are small business owners.

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 17846182

What's the story there?

POST 7Original post

Quotes source post: 17846489

Curious also. I ordered a 4 point rollbar from Hanksville for my 944 to weld in myself. Great communication and product. It took a month or two to receive it but he was upfront about that. No complaints here. RE fabspeed - I have no dog in this fight, but it's a little premature IMHO to complain of poor customer service based on the description of OPs interaction with fabspeed. One email not followed up on? so email them again; geez

POST 8Original post

I just talked to them today. They picked up the phone right away , although im not waiting on any of their parts. ill probably be at their shop in a week or 2 for some tuning so lmk if i have to bang some heads.

Ive been trying to phone and email HHR for two months and cant order anything online or get anyone on the phone or answer an email. Yet I keep trying to order cat bypass for the Pepper. Last count 12 contact attempts. Odd.

POST 10Original post

My 3x phone calls all resulted in will contact you ASAP 3 weeks and counting zero response it’s a clamp they sold for their exhaust system and a rod for their cai so what should I be patient about either you have it or will make it or ffff off

POST 11Original post

I have a few things to say about Fabspeed products, and they can comment all they want. I purchased their beautiful dual black chrome exhaust tips a number of years ago. And they are not dual insulated as they claimed. They caused both sides of my bumpers to melt from the heat. And headers for a 3.4l and a 3.6l should not be the same product design. BS. Fabspeed products look great but bs on any performance.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 17846551

I emailed them and never got aq response. I then called a few weeks later and was told my x-pipe was going to be another month (I was told the end of November) and that's what I've been waiting for to install the R40. As soon as I mentioned the failed cans, I was told someone will email me about the issue... I'm a small business owner and would never over promise and under deliver. These guys charge top dollar, take you money upfront and don't deliver in a timely manner. I don't think I'm being unreasonable at all. Maybe I got spoiled by the great service and follow up I've gotten from FSI, Pelican Parts and LN Engineering etc.

POST 13Original post

There seems to be countless problems fabspeed service and the quality of their products since they started making them in Asia. There is a regularly updated instagram page that hates on them (it's actually kind of funny). https://www.instagram.com/fabspeedsucks/?hl=en

POST 14Original post

Im taking 808Bills side on this one. I dont have any direct experience with Fabspeed, but my experience in general lately, is that customer service (generally) sucks. Great customer service should be the norm, not the exception... period... theres no excuse for anything less. Dont even get me started on delays due to the pandemic...🤬 While there are legitimate ones, lately it seems to be a catchall for every lazy/incompetent business person to put people off...you know what they say about excuses.🤬🤬🤬

We would be more than happy to check the status of your requests. Would you both be willing to PM me your name and email address from which you filed a support ticket? Thanks. Update: After reviewing our system, no customer support tickets have been filed. However, I have located both of your phone numbers and I will be in contact shortly.

You are more than welcome to come take a tour of our manufacturing facility. All of our systems are designed, engineered, and built in-house. Fraudulent Instagrams are not a reliable source of information, I highly recommend stopping by or speaking with any Rennlist member who has.

classy! I understand the frustration. Ive been there multiple times with other (mostly small time) vendors. I hope it works out. id be interested to hear the follow up on this thread since fabspeed has invited you guys to contact again

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow, I had no idea. I was told when I ordered that the Catted x-pipe was made in house.

POST 19Original post

I bought a Fabspeed exhaust once. Key word, once Caveat dem! Subsequent exhaust purchases have been from Soul. And that will continue. www.soulpp.com

POST 20Original post

Hey at least Fabspeed stepped up in the public forum. Hope everything smooths over for you 808.

Name one company that isn't working short tho, so unfortunately customer service and lead times suffer anywhere.. that's not to say that communication can't be better, but can't find fault with a company building custom parts and not just sending something imported from China off a shelf..

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 17847382

been to the shop and watched while they were fabricating my Porsche system and many other exhaust systems while I was there... so whoever says the systems are imported was lying... I'm sure they will invite you for a shop tour if you have doubts also!

POST 23Original post

Quotes source post: 17847015

Have any dyno results to back up the claim they didn't increase performance? Because I personally seen decent gains on my Fabspeed system... as for the heat causing melting, can also be from your tune being off causing excessive heat, or an improper install without enough clearance.. can't blame a manufacturer for everything.. I see it every day in all kinds of customers from my shop... they install something themselves and then blame it on a manufacturer

POST 24Original post

Quotes source post: 17847815

I have been to a couple open house and i dont instagram so i wont read that link but i can tell u they have all the equipment, jigs and a dyno all in house. I would say that if they claim in a public forum, as they did above, that they make all there stuff in house I would believe it. As far as the customer service issues... thats on them to fix.

POST 25Original post

I had one transaction with fabspeed. That was the first and last time ill do business with them.

Got the call on Thursday, my x-pipe is ready. This post served it's purpose and prompted action. I'll let you all know how it goes from here. Everyone deserves a chance to remedy issues like this...Stay tuned!

I dont want to bash the company publicly. I didnt care for my experience dealing with them is about as deep as I want to go with that.

POST 29Original post

I ordered replacement parts from them during the peak COVID delays last year. It took a while to place the order because they had closed, but they stayed in contact with me over email. Once ordered, the parts arrived quickly. Currently I’m waiting on some sport cats from Soul. Hoping they’re delivery is prompt.
