Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

My car came with a K&n intake system and I'm looking to revert to stock. Got the correct airbox but I can't get the lid to close. The snorkel is about 1/4 inch too far to the left and hanging up on the boot. Anyone else have this issue?

POST 2Original post

Is all the hardware stock? Could it (the whole airbox) be sitting low on the left (or high on the right), and the tilt is just enough to put it out of line?

POST 3Original post

The snorkel can move in/out of the air box, is it fully seated? The boot can also be installed incorrectly in the lid, check to see if reversing it would help.

POST 4Original post

I had the same problem after installing the UAOS, which I see you have. The problem is the catch can for the UAOS is forcing the snorkel forward. Remove the collar off of the snorkel and it should work better. At least that's what worked for me.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes everything is stock. Thanks for the tips all! I'll see if removing that Collar helps!

The entire box can seem like it is in, but the pin is not fully seated in the hole by the 13mm bolt that holds that in. Loosed the bolt again and give it a good shake and see if it seats better. From the picture, it does look like the left side of the airbox is up too high. Good job with the UAOS install. Sorry I missed your call.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! Indefinitely had a few head scratching moments installing that uaos. Glad that should be the only time I'll have to do it. Got the airbox to sit in there somewhat correctly. Still not as exact as I want though.
