Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If we look at it from preventive maintenance point - when we replace our OEM timing belt on a given car, as preventive maintenance, what do we replace it with - TA DAM!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Oh nonnnn! Another IMS thread
Has anybody simply got their bearing replaced with another STOCK bearing?
Let's say it's a "healthy" engine and you simply pull the old (still new looking) bearing and put another new/new bearing in it - I would consider this a peace of mind on budget?!
I got 2001 btw, with 84k and no idea of how mine is doing
What do you think?
Well , on a tight budget , pelican makes a kit to do exactly what you propose for $165.
It comes with an oeM type bearing , better seals and an improved bolt .
It's certainly a better option than doing nothing .
And offers some peace of mind if not ideal risk management .
A handy guy with a hoist could diy change it out every 20-30k miles

If you joined the forum and people knew your location , you might find someone in your area who would rent , lend , sell theirs.
For example , I would lend mine to someone in Vancouver .
@lahalte - thanks for the plug
@KrazyK - thanks a lot for sharing, very interesting, I bookmarked your page. 100$ IMSB swap sounds just right for me. Mind PMing the parts list as I've had hard time finding them in your post. Thanks!
IMS! Replace original IMS with same IMS? Cool! Now we have something to talk about.
Here is a twist: Is IMSB really the problem? Or is it cylinder scoring that leads to IMSB failure? Or is it engine case misalignment?
And why not? If we look at it from preventive maintenance point - when we replace our OEM timing belt on a given car, as preventive maintenance, what do we replace it with - TA DAM! another OEM timing belt.....
Hey, I got a chuckle out of it.
Plus, you got Schnell to say I'm smart. So, who looks like the idiot now. (OK, don't answer that)
It made my day - little victories still count.
OP, here's the required reading if you want to get an early start on the coursework...
The plastic pages were originally introduced for "Fap 100," but have since made their way into the other texts.
And, for no particular reason, my favorite fap meme...
