Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Not sure if this sort of thing is allowed--I didn't see any specific prohibition in the forum rules, but if I'm in violation of anything I apologize in advance and please delete this post at your discretion. I'm getting away from the Porsche game and I've decided to sell off my Porsche-specific tools. Over the years I've put together a kit that has virtually everything needed for most jobs up to and including full rebuilds of the M96/M97 engine. These tools are used but I take excellent care of my stuff so it's all in good working order. Here's a list: -Thermostat Installation/Removal Tool MY97-08 M96/M97 SKU: 106-06.2 -LN Engineering IMS Pro Tool Kit. Everything you need to install an RND RS Roller or LN Dual Row IMS Retrofit SKU: 106-08.13 -LN Engineering M96/M97 IMS Solution Supplemental & MY06-08 Tool Kit SKU: 106-08.21 -M96 Faultless Tools IMS Removal & Installation Tool Kit (Req. for 106-08.2.2) SKU: 106-08.22 -LN Engineering 99-101mm Ring Squaring Tool SKU: 106-14.99-101 -LN Engineering M96 Faultless Supplemental Engine Assembly Tool Kit and Flywheel Lock Kit (Inc. Cayenne V8 & 9A1) SKU: 106-29 -Baum Tools B9612KPLUS Porsche Cam Timing And Piston Pin Kit SKU: B9612KPLUS -Baum Tools B9685KIT Porsche Cam Timing Kit SKU: B9685KIT -Notta Wrench Air Oil Separator AOS Line Release Tool 996/986 Models SKU: NW-996-RED -Notta Wrench Air Oil Separator AOS Line Release Tool 997/987 Models SKU: NW-997-TAN -Rauch and Spiegel 9699+9699/2 RMS Crankshaft Rear Main Seal Tool 97-08 M96 M97 SKU: RS-9699 -PIWIS 3 Diagnostic Tool Piwis III V39.500 & V38.200 Two Software with Lenovo Yoga S1 Laptop (Clone, not Genuine Porsche) -STOMSKI RACING LC BOXSTER/996/997 EXHAUST BOLT REPAIR KIT (SR067) -STOMSKI RACING LC M96 HEAT EXCHANGER TESTER (SR062) -Laser 7499 Timing/Tensioner Pin Kit - for Porsche -Crankcase Manometer w/ Porsche Oil Fill Cap Fitting -Oil Filter Wrench -Clutch Alignment Tool - Boxster -Clutch Alignment Tool - 911 -Genuine Porsche Shift Linkage Adjustment Tool -Motive Brake/Clutch Pressure Bleeder I threw them on eBay at the following link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/13452933990...Bk9SR4SCvKLzYQ At this point I'm not prepared to break up the lot--I just don't have the time or energy to deal with all that, but I'm willing to entertain any possible offers. Let me know if there are any questions I can answer, and thanks for looking!

POST 2Original post

I am a tool junkie and like this post! I don't need them, but I want them! Best of luck selling them.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Haha thanks. I'm in the same boat, I'm obsessed with nice tools

POST 4Original post

If you decide to break it up, I would like the PIWIS. Mark

POST 5Original post

Thats a nice lot of specialized tools! While $3k is a substantial discount over buying them new &/or separately, I think youll have a hard time selling them to an individual/gentleman mechanic. I think your best bet is going to be a shop/professional. eBay is a good idea GLWS 👍
