LIke Dejeeper says, use a 36 inch beaker bar with a 3ft jack handle, that gives you 6ft leverage, then place your feet on the right rear tire/subframe and do the horizontal deadlift..

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Went to change the engine mounts today. Sprayed Free All yesterday and let it set. Placed jack under the engine and took weight off the carrier bolt. Using an air impact hammer (Blue Point from Snap-On). Won't budge. Spayed more Free All. Turned up the air pressure, no movement of nut. The part of the bolt that extends past the nut looks exactly like you would expect if it spent 10 years of Chicago winters. Is an induction heater my next purchase?

POST 2Original post

Shorten the extension to the shortest possible length. Leave a little engine tension on it and then turn the air pressure up to 140psi. If that doesnt work put a breaker bar on it with the jack handle as an extension. Who cares if it snaps.

POST 3Original post

Quotes source post: 18860131

chances are that the stud part can rip out of the rubber and then spin, which can make life unpleasant.

POST 4Original post

Quotes source post: 18860131

You meant to say turn it up to 175 psi right? lol LIke Dejeeper says, use a 36 inch beaker bar with a 3ft jack handle, that gives you 6ft leverage, then place your feet on the right rear tire/subframe and do the horizontal deadlift.. IF you can pull 300lbs,you will place 1800ft/lbs of loosening torque on the bolt...If that doesn't work you will be dragging out the "blue wrench" or cut-off wheel..

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Done. 2ft breaker bar inserted into 4ft steel pipe. Problem solved. Mounts replaced. One old mount stretched ~15mm. Engine is now level. Yay. Thanks De Jeeper and Porschetech3. BTW, I replaced the mounts with the wheels on the ground. In no video did I see anyone mention that if you do that, you have to really jack up the engine, not just support the engine. Have to really crank it up so that the square nut on the mount seats solidly with the engine carrier.
