Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, this is my first post, sorry in advance if I foul something up. Last weekend, we took a 2003 911 C2 to the track. the car is new to me. We have upgraded the suspension with Ohlin coil overs and new RSS links and motor mounts. otherwise the car is stock. Anyhow, the car did really well on the track.....until my son spun out and we had a minor engine compartment fire. After we got it home and I pulled out the half melted air box, I noticed the serpentine belt broke and (i think) cut a slash in the air conditioning (compressor) line. I believe it's the low pressure line coming out of the compressor on the right side (the larger tubing). Four questions: 1. Have you ever heard of the belt cutting the compressor line? I think the oil in the line dumped straight down onto the exhaust and caught fire, does this make sense? 2. Can the car operate with a hole in the compressor line? Would all of the fluid had been dumped out, or will more come out if I start the car? 3. While I can see where the line comes out of the compressor, I cannot see where the other end terminates....where is the end? 4. How can I find the part number I need to replace the hose?
