Suggestion
I have owned my 99 C2 for seven years and lately I have noticed that the clutch is not as smooth and much heavier to operate than it used to be (helper spring is fine) so I have decided to replace the complete clutch assembly, flywheel,RMS and while in there replace the IMSB double row with LN.

That said we finally have a distributor who has requested and ordered a large run of dual row IMS Solutions to be their exclusive product.

I don't sell them, and I only use the IMS Solution in reconstructions :-)
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well now we know where all the engine cores have been ending up (RND). Maybe this IMSB hoarding this is another marketing plan Jake is involved in. We did see that custom sink vanity he did so maybe he is getting ready to patent a new line of IMSB home furnishings
i was hoping someone local had one extra LN bearing i could buy. wanted to finish up this boxster over weekend. oooh well i ordered one in for next week.
Distributors didn't stock up enough over the winter for the spring rush... Now everyone is out according to Charles at LN...
I wouldn't know... I don't sell them, and I only use the IMS Solution in reconstructions :-)
I am not forced to use off the shelf offerings. If I have a dual row engine I machine the shaft to fit an IMS Solution.
That said we finally have a distributor who has requested and ordered a large run of dual row IMS Solutions to be their exclusive product.
We never offered the dual row Solution only because demand for the unit was too low to substantiate a large enough production run.
Within the next 8 months you'll see them popping up.
I also fit an IMS Solution to M97 IMS shafts, which is something else you won't find off the shelf. I was fitting IMS Solutions before the world knew they existed.
Not sure off-hand what the incremental cost difference will be, but it's likely worth going the IMS Solution if I decide to do the IMSB upgrade with my dual-row IMSB.
Have no idea on cost.. Not my department. :-)
With the early dual cars being more in demand, the market will finally will support the dual row IMS Solution.
The car has done 140000KM and the engine runs very nice and quite and I am doing the IMSB only as a preventative.
I have all the parts to do this job sitting here on my work bench and was going to do the job in the next couple of weeks.
After reading that there is probably a double row solution coming out and I am planning to keep my Porsche for many more years I am not sure what to do. I could just do the clutch and RMS for now and when the solution is available I can pull the gearbox again or I could do the whole job now and fit the double row retrofit from LN that I have allready. Any advise welcome.
I'd never give advice as to what should be done in this situation. I have no idea how long the process will be to get the dual row Solution through distribution.
