Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I didnt see anyone else post about these guys but I find their project awesome. Everyone talks about how the 996 is the next big thing so this combined with the PCA Classic Club Coupe really showcase whats in store for our beloved hated 911. Looking fwd to even more amazing restomods in the future.
how do you guys feel about it?
I like Kremer's way, way better. I give those guys props for cutting into the car to do their own thing and I saw they were making a diffuser, out of aluminum (boo) which is something that would be nice for the aftermarket to look into for our cars but the front end of the thing just doesn't jive with me aesthetically compared to what the Germans have done.
Ugh. This is stupid. If someone wants a late 90s, early 00s Japanese car, why not just sell the 911, and buy a Japanese car?
Who looks at the classic beautiful lines of a 911, and decides it should look like a Bosozoku Mitsubishi?
I do. Purists for a $40K car (I paid 22K... Inflation is a bitch) need to get over themselves. If you want something hacks like me won't buy to do whatever we want with them, go get something more expensive.
ETA... Here's another one for you of the kit above racing in VLN

Okay, maybe I came across stronger than I had to, but OP did ask what the community thought about it, so gave my opinion. I didn't realize it meant only supporting opinions. And I didn't mean to offend you personally.
I'm not a purist, I'm not offended, and I don't care about the value of his car, or what people do to their own cars. However, I'm also not actually required to like other people's style.
I'm just saying that I don't see the point. They've made the car into something it's not, and there are cars out there that already follow that style. They've also made it larger, heavier, and overall worse. There's no way all those additions have any positive aero effects versus the weight that's being added. But hey that's their choice.
EDIT - but now I've seen your post of that Aero kit racing, so WTF do I know. Opinions are linke a$$h&+s. Everyone has one and thinks there's doesn't stink. - END EDIT
BTW, since you seem to allude to changes you are making to yours; I follow your thread closely. Your changes serve a purpose. You're racing the car, and you're making it lighter, faster, and safer. It's great!
For some reason I find these 996/935 retros pretty cool for the track just like I find the safaris pretty cool. Still not certain which design I like best yet. But we can pretty much guess that there will be more coming.
Didn't say you were offended, and definitely am not looking for concurrence of opinion - opinions will have counter from other people and cool with me that all voices are heard.
I think there is a reluctance within the 996 community specifically to understand that a Porsche, at the price point ours are mean that they are accessible to a far wider range of enthusiasts than meet the common Porsche narrative and as a result, that broader range of enthusiast may look at the car as a canvas of a different type then, the typical Porsche enthusiast. These guys wanted to stretch their fabricating and design skills, others want to take them racing, others want to stance them out, others want them bone stock and only bone stock, etc. Some guys won't care if they add a hundred pounds, cause the driving dynamics is not their priority, some may not need a radio, cause they want to lower their lap times .002 seconds.
The point being, lesser expensive cars more likely to be modified in a way that suits their owner, and less expensive cars likely to have a broader range of owners. While I don't care for the output of the car in the OP's video, I do admire the skill, time and imagination to do it - so I care less what the outcome really is cause I like that people like that are playing with our cars and in my view, the more the better.
Honestly by looking at it I couldnt tell at first it was a 996. Anyway I personally prefer the classic coupe. Cars are individual expressions, when I bought my car, I bought the maintenance, car fax etc, the more I drive it the more I like it. I was going to sell it since I bought the turbo, but I decided to keep both. Maybe Ill put a bigger engine in it after all. I think its going to be pretty cool 😎 to drive both of them back to back. Some like the RWBs, thats not my cup of tea. I like and enjoy what Jason is doing but hes building a race car, what I like is that every modification or improvement has a purpose hes looking for speed and faster lap times.
