This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I have asked the Porsche parts department at my dealer, but they are not sure, so I am asking here: For the part 996 504 911 00 (the mounting plate for the roof rack), there is a screw that goes into the hole that the roof rack would normally screw into. As with many others, mine is seized and was stripped trying to get it off. I am wondering if it is possible to just get the new plastic replacement screws rather than the entire mounting plate? Anyone here done this? Here are some photos to show what i am looking for. Cheers

I never could find the Porsche p/n for these, but I will tell you not to waste your time/money on the cheap nylon ones on eBay. I substituted stainless steel Allen head set screws, they work great.
