Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. I'm working on swapping my cinnamon and light wood center console and shifter over to black.
I purchased a new shift boot not realizing that these assemblies are permanently (as far as I'm concerned) joined.
Is it possible to buy only the trim/bezel? do I just need to find a wrecked shift boot and replace it myself? I'm not interested in paying $200 for a used shifter
I actually just found this, is it all I need?

Im assuming your original shifter boot had the silvery trim around it. Ive never seen that trim on its own but many people would like it because the silver paint is crap. The leather is no great shakes either. If you got just the boot it was probably meant for the NON silver trim setup, in which case the frame you found would be perfect.
I think.
Yeah my car has the silver trim, I'm trying to preserve all my OEM stuff because its in very nice shape, just swapping everything to black (I have black deviated carpets)
and it seems like the shift boot/trim is a permanent assembly. I can't find good information about just swapping boots.
IF you are looking for the silver part that goes around the shift boot, it was only available with the upgraded shifter i.e wood, carbon fiber etc. The part is NOT available separately. Although I know a Rennlist member made some to sell!

here is a very good picture of my dog and a very bad picture of what is in the car currently. I'm working to remove all the light wood and go to all black. I bought a new shiftboot but need the trim/bezel/support to install it on. I don't care if it has the silver trim or just the base style.
I'm not going to tear up my current/oem boot just to do this so I need a simple solution if it exists
if not, time to get the 3D printer
Yes, that's all that's needed.
Also the silver piece is glued on, but is not available separately.
I wouldn't bother buying a used silver piece either, I think it would be damaged removing it from the boot.
