One Carrera in particular had just recovered from a cracked head fiasco, and it appeared one of the throttle body sleeves connecting to the intake plenum had been installed incorrectly.

The suspect sleeves were replaced in their proper locations, the clamps were gingerly aligned and tightened, and everything else went back together like, well, like butter.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gentle readers, when last we heard from our hero, he was vexed by a rough idle on his 1999 C2 Cab manual. Further preying on his mind were a CEL and codes P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and codes P0319, P0313, P0314, P0315, all relevant to bank one. Our hero commenced to watching several YouTube videos wherein those victims were experiencing similar symptoms with their beloved Carreras. One Carrera in particular had just recovered from a cracked head fiasco, and it appeared one of the throttle body sleeves connecting to the intake plenum had been installed incorrectly. Bingo! Our hero's Carrera has also recently recovered from a cracked head and investigation of the aforementioned sleeves was warranted. Sure enough, our hero, dolt that he is, had managed to swap the two sleeves AND, misalign one of the clamps for bank one in the process. The suspect sleeves were replaced in their proper locations, the clamps were gingerly aligned and tightened, and everything else went back together like, well, like butter. Our hero started the car and was gratified by a smooth idle and no CEL. And so, as the sun sets in the distance, our hero basks in his victory and wonders whether this hard-earned knowledge might be of benefit to another tortured soul suffering a similar fate.
As usual, I cannot find the video with the car recently recovered from a cracked head. I searched this issue so many times in so many ways that I can't remember which search bought up that particular video. Another video I watched addressing the identical problem is, "Flat 6 Minute - Classic Mistake = Vacuum Leak". This video may actually be better because Jake Raby discusses with the engine out of the car so you can literally see the error, whereas the other video had the engine in the car with just a narration of the problem. Best of luck.
