Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, as mentioned before I have a noise in the front left that my shop says is the differential. Today I swapped out the drop link and drove around for 20 mins or so with no noise. Its strange, I drive around for a while and noise always comes and is suddenly noticeable when I take a hard left into my driveway going over a slight bump. Once that initial knock starts, it occurs over bumps and starting from a standstill and continues until the car has been sitting for a while. Come to think of it, when I first noticed the noise I had drove for about 30 minutes and from a stand still, was turning left from a standstill. Driving otherwise is fine. Straight, no noises. Sorry to ask the question again but before I replace the diff, does it sound like a diff problem? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

No. Drive out here and I'll let you know what I think it might be.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where are you located? Ill take any advice I can get.

POST 5Original post

Differential or differential mount? I would guess if its the diff, it is not going to knock, but give rotational noise at most or all times, not just over bumps

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wouldnt the differential mounts bounce all the time?
