Hi guys, Today was the time to change oil in my C4S 02' I have found 5 particles of non-ferrous material. Kms on the oil: 2357kms Kms on new IMS retrofit: 4344kms I was wondering what's the acceptable limit for metal shavings in term of size/quantity? The drain plug is relatively clean as well as the rest of the oil filter. I took the biggest of the 5 in picture as the other ones are almost hair size shavings. Bore scope was done last year by the plugs holes and the sump and everything was fine. Oil analysis was done last year with very good results (I can provide if needed) Sample is on the way for this year. Should I start to worry!! Thanks Hugo

Not an expert, but agree with above. My equation to solve this one: 20 years + high performance motor= your pix (if you�re lucky)

Seems fine to me, some ferrous components run directly in aluminum like the cams in the heads etc so small flakes of aluminum are normal

Agree with previous posters, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I commend your vigilance in dissecting/inspecting your oil filter and inspecting your drain plug. If something does start to go sideways, you're going to know right away. Keep it up!
