Need Help: I'm replacing all 3 of my idler pulleys on 2000 Porsche 996 Cab manual... Should I buy the 996 or 997 version and what brand? I think the 997 version has the fins. See pictures below... The first picture is the 996 version

Be careful on the tensioner pulley. My car had the plastic one and the offset was wrong. Belt was slightly over the edge.

I far as u have been able to tell the 997 pulleys are plastic. The 996 pulleys are metal. Autoatlanta had the idler oem pulley without the porche tax be aware that pulley is a pita to change. I had the power steering horseshoe out so it wasnt that bad but getting to that point is difficult. U can leave the old bolt in the arm if u want or u can pull the tb and crossover tube to get to the allen bolt that holds the arm in.
