Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Just wanted to introduce myself to all the RL's out there and show off my new ride. I wake up every morning now and look for an excuse to go out in her. 2003 C2 with s few upgrades....very clean with 73K kilometers.....(around 50k miles)! Already learned plenty on this site, it's awesome! Gonna hold off on the IMS & RMS for now. No indication of any leakage yet and i'll keep the oil change frequency at around 3K. Looking forward to spending way too much time on here lol!

Beautiful car and my favorite wheels, welcome to the List!

POST 6Original post

Nice, any shots of the interior? Beprepared for the anti-pumpkin crowd to comment on the orange side markers

POST 8Original post

Looks great. Would like to see some interior shots! Welcome.

POST 12Original post

Is the color Ocean Blue? I for one like the amber marker lights and no LED's in the interior (I like my lights soft).

POST 16Original post

Congrats! She seems to be in great shape. Love those wheels!

POST 17Original post

Congrats and nice car! A word of advice - spend less time here reading about every thing that potentially could go wrong with your car and more time driving and enjoying your cool car.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the positive comments....I believe the color is midnight blue?? I too don't mind the pumpkins and will stick with the factory interior lights as well. Interior pics coming. The only immediate plans are to change out the headlight bulbs, the original owner prolly changed only one at some time cause they're noticeably different colors. Think I'm gonna go with the Osram CBI's

Agreed. It is easy to get overly concerned with all the problems you read about. People ALWAYS post about what is broken and rarely post things like "I've been driving my 996 for 3 years and haven't had to do anything but regular maintenance." Nice car. Enjoy her!

Thanks and I agree completely, I've joined many forums over the last 10-15 years and most of what I see obviously, are people posting with problems, this forum is no different. What I find unique about this forum is everyone's willingness to help other members and the absolute wealth of great info and links! I'm hoping to contribute as much as I can but can tell you I will spend most of my time in the drivers seat peeling away layers of my 55 year old mind back to the days of my youth

POST 21Original post

POST 22Original post

Beautiful car--congrats! I've had mine now for a couple of months and that excitement *still* hasn't waned.

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A couple more shots of the interior.....stock but in perfect shape!

POST 24Original post

very nice car! i like the sport seats with the porsche crests - i'm a lil surprised folks don't order the crest more often. an inexpensive option that is so classy. congrats!

POST 25Original post

Congrats!!! facelift carrera in midnight blue....beautiful! hope you dont get the mod fever!..its a slippery slope....LOL....good luck i have the exact same car.

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Randy, sweet looking car...no I hope to keep the modding down to a minimum....perhaps a clear lens swap for my headlight projectors and LED tailights are about all I have planned. Your paint looks great! I wanna get a decent detail on the paint before I put her away next month.

Welcome aboard, liljohnny - be sure to sign up at a member here. It will pay you back many times over, especially if you change your mind and step out on the slippery slope called "mods". Great looking Pcar
