The best way to change the suspension to the RoW M030 is to change the shocks and springs to the RoW M030 suspension.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 'o2 coupe coming in soon and I really like the older chromed exhaust tips much better than the new oval ones (which are stainless, btw). Feedback appreciated...

POST 2Original post

The big oval exhaust tips as offered through Tequipment will only fit the 996 cars built before 07/01. The ovals exhaust tips for the MY'02 cars should be available soon.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Gert, are the Tequipment ovals for MY '02 going to look the same as the older tips or more like the chromed turbo tips?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Also on a related note, I ordered this car with the 030 sport suspension and want to lower it to ROW height, is it possible to get just ROW springs for '02 cars? Thanks again for your replies Gert...

POST 5Original post

It will be the big ovals tips like the -'01 ovals and/or the twin tail pipes as found on the Turbo.

POST 6Original post

[QUOTE]Originally posted by CjN: [QB]Also on a related note, I ordered this car with the 030 sport suspension and want to lower it to ROW height, is it possible to get just ROW springs for '02 cars? The best way to change the suspension to the RoW M030 is to change the shocks and springs to the RoW M030 suspension. If you plan to get the RoW M030 anyway, you better order the car with the standard suspension and install the full Euro M030 kit afterwards. Also, for the 996 Coupe, the new "M option X74" will soon be available through retrofit parts. Option X74 lowers the RoW cars 30mm all around and can be installed on the MY'02 Coupe's.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the fast replies Gert... Problem is I can't make any changes to the order now and I dont want to buy the whole RoW M030, is that "M option X74" the only way to go now?

POST 8Original post

Gert, First off thank you for the Euro M030 sport suspension I recently order from you. Best mod. I have done to the car. But, question what is the "M option x74" Thanks -George

POST 9Original post

'02 tips are 2-3" longer due to the redesigned " skirted" rear bumper cover.

POST 10Original post

There are two factory options for the MY'02 RoW 996 Coupe's : M030 (10mm lower) or X74 (30mm lower) Again, these two options only apply to MY'02 RoW 996 Coupe's The RoW M030 is already available as factory retrofit kit for the MY'02. At this time, there will be no factory retrofit for the X74 so the only way to get this suspension is to buy all the parts seperately. Dealers over here call it the "M-option X74".... .

POST 11Original post

Thanks Gert, As always you are a wealth of knowledge!

POST 12Original post

Christopherus Magazine discussed the RoW 030 vs. RoW X74 a couple issues ago. It's ( X74) known internally as " the minus 30 " i.e., 30mm lower than std ROW.
