Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was looking for ways to reduce my track prep time. Taping the front end took close to an hour. Found this color matching Speed Lingerie bra and mirror set on eBay for a turbo at a good price and pulled the trigger. I wasn't super optimistic about the fit but ended up pleasantly surprised. I've taken it for about a 20 mile run with triple digit speeds and all seems good. photo14.jpg photo196.jpg photo493.jpg photo755.jpg photo233.jpg

POST 2Original post

That will work for the track since it isn't a beauty contest there!

POST 5Original post

I think it looks good enough to use for daily driving !

POST 6Original post

I think it's certainly good enough for long road trips to save from rock chips/insects

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. Anyone think I'll have down force issues on the track since it covers my splitter? Seemed ok on the street but the track may be a different story.

POST 10Original post

My concern would be wind blowing up underneath it at speed. Check with your racing organization. They may not allow it.

POST 11Original post

The '80s called and the paint correction industry thanks you. imho

POST 12Original post

I think it looks bad, and you should feel bad. Sorry. Just not a fan of car bras. Awsome mkII though.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You lost me. Why should I feel bad? I'm using this instead of blue painters tape or track wrap on the track. photo110.jpg photo136.jpg photo642.jpg

POST 14Original post

Don't fabric car brassieres flap in the wind and wear the pain rapidly? Why not just get a clear brassiere?

POST 15Original post

I wish I could find painters tape in black to match my car. In 4" wide pieces, I'd slap that stuff on my bumper for any long trips on the freeway. My bumper gets most of it's damage when I get on the interstate.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I agree the clear is the way to go. Unfortunately my front end is no longer pristine. If it were, I would certainly consider dropping $1K on a clear bra. The Speed Lingerie stuff is incredibly well made and fits like a glove. I haven't noticed any flapping / movement at speed. The way this attaches to the car is really slick. It connects to the inner wheel well on the sides and to the back side of the splitter on the bottom and tucks neatly away in the frunk, where the hood when shut secures it. The inside is lined with felt and is super soft. Since this popped up on Ebay in guards red and I was able to nab it at a fraction of the price of a new one I thought it would be worth a shot. Beats the hell out of spending an hour in the Savannah heat taping up your car for a track day. I can stick this on a couple of minutes and be good to go. I might run a few pieces of tape above the rad cut outs. That is the only place that the fit is a little off due to the larger rad intakes of the turbo. All and all I think this is going to suit my needs for the track.

POST 17Original post

I think it looks good and will work perfectly on the track. win..win!

POST 18Original post

I dig it for your purpose and honestly would like to do the same, but holllyyyy shiiieeetttt that stuff is pricey to purchase new from the supplier.

POST 19Original post

How's that going to work with the tow hook covered up? Will it be an issue if the hook is needed?

POST 20Original post

Quotes source post: 12990582

Good point. My PCA guys won't even let me on the track without my towhook in place.

I'm going to punch a hole in it for the tow hook.

Thanks. Agreed crazy expensive. I paid about 1/6th the price. Digging your avator!

I'm sorry, if you've ever watched a cartoon called "futurama" there is a character that says that, and ive seen a few gifs of it online. Just my lame attempt at humor

Swatch...TRUMP! Ya, those helped turned me off of paying to advertise clothes. Remember when designer's t-shirts was free when you bought a suit or 3-4 dress shirts? The one thing I don't remember was ever seeing a fabric bra that didn't cause harm to the pant one way or another.

A little X-shaped slit over the tow hook hole should work fine to allow the tow hook to be inserted. Or, cut a small hole and put in a round snap-together grommet over the hole to keep it from fraying.
