Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Reset pot, calibration failed' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace clamshell transmission' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Yes, but I also had to replace the clamshell transmission.

After replacing the clamshell transmission we were testing the operation and the top just stopped mid way.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

frisbee91-My top didn't work and now does with help from the Durametric top diagnostic codes .Without those I was nowhere .As far as Calibration I went thru their procedures -just not sure what it did .
I have done it twice and not much happened .In my case the key element to set is the ohms adjustment for the clamshell .If that is not right the durametric will time out and shut down .Once that was properly set the top worked fine and I am not sure what the durametric did if anything .
Yes, a friend of mine who is a dealer master tech said the top should go up and down during the calibration. Maybe durametric is no good. I did reset the pot, but still nothing. No codes, but the light is on.

When I was having trouble with the cab top intermittently not working I asked at the Porsche garage via phone if it needed calibration. They told me 'the last thing needed will be a calibration' as something else is the rpoblem with the top' That being said I battled on and eventually got it working correctly without having to take it into the Porsche Garage. In other words you may need to be looking somewhere else if the top is 'acting up' as mine was.
I didn't think you could do any sort of convertible top calibration with the Durametric software.
(If someone has different information, please enlighten us.)

Thanks. I know you can get error codes (I've done that too), but I'm not familiar with a "calibration procedure". Who's calibration procedure? Do you have a link or more info?
OK, just to recap and maybe somebody has a good suggestion. After replacing the clamshell transmission we were testing the operation and the top just stopped mid way. Actually it stopped a couple times. I thought maybe the switch wasnt being pushed all the way in. The windows automatically roll down, and it does all the other stuff, but the top and the clamshell dont move. You can hear two relay clicks from the rear compartment. Fault code said timeout error, clamshell pot, and needs calibration. I reset the pot, calibration failed. At first when I cleared the codes the light went out. Now the light is back, but no codes.
if the allen screw if screwed in too far it disengages the drive mechanism for the hatch from the drive motor which affects your timing .The clicks you hear is the top motor cycling and then shutting down .
