Heck, I can't buy shoes online to save my life - there's no way I want to try finding a good fitting seat using the "measure and hope" method.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I love my '02 C2 996, but I've been fighting with the "comfort" sofas for nearly six months now. I can't get them low enough to fit properly when I'm wearing a helmet, I slide around when cornering, and no matter how I adjust them I'm just plain uncomfortable after an hour or more of driving. At this point I'm ready to give up and start exploring aftermarket seat options. Probably something reclining so I can get at the back seat, probably with big bolsters to help keep me in place, and ideally able to support a range of harnesses since I want to keep the option to add a roll bar and multi-point harness in the future. Not worried about seat weight; not planning to spend half the value of my car on a pair of buckets either. I want to actually sit in a variety of seats to figure out which ones fit my not-inconsequential-keister, though. Heck, I can't buy shoes online to save my life - there's no way I want to try finding a good fitting seat using the "measure and hope" method. So, like the title says, where can I go to sit in a range of aftermarket seats in the Phoenix area? Anyone got any ideas?

For anyone who might stumble across this in the future here's what I ended up doing: 1) Filled out Corbeau's "Find a Retailer Form" located here: https://corbeau.com/retailers/ They called me back the next business day and provided two retailers in the Phoenix area with models that would meet my criteria in their showrooms 2) Searched through Recaro's store finder page here: https://www.recaro-automotive.com/us...o-store-finder Called the one retailer in Arizona and despite the fact that they're a mail order shop they let me in to try out the limited number of samples they had available. Ultimately I chose a pair of Recaro Sportster GTs in Black Leather to match the rest of my car's interior.
