Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have the bumper off while cleaning radiators and installing a DemonSpeed front spoiler. I noticed a small spot of peeling paint on the bottom of the bumper and a lot inside the bumper. Is this just old car, old paint, plastic bumper stuff or a sign of a poorly done respray at some point? Is there a way to mitigate the current peeling for now or just wait, fix the parking curb rash and get a proper respray at some point? Thanks in advance as always.

IMHO, poor respray where the proper primer wasn't applied before new paint was sprayed on OR they just didn't put much right effort on the underside of the bumper skin. Many shops will concentrate on the areas that are seen and other areas are considered less priority and many cases don't have a even spray. I would recommend cutting off the pealed portion and spray the exposed area to prevent further pealing.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks - there's more than a few spots on the bottom where the bumper and the curb have had an intimate relationship with the bumper coming off the worse for it. At some point, I'll fix that but right now, I want to get it back on the road and enjoy it - it's been down quite a while doing other mods and fixes.

This definitely.^ Not unusual unfortunately, but can be fixed.
