Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The coilover includes the upper mounts which generally need to be replaced due to age, especially for the front suspension.
Leading evidence: 'Replace due' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace due' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I would also recommend replacing the tie rod ends (inner and outer).

Will have to use my truck for the rest of the roads if i'm inside the loop!!!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gents and experts,
I'm considering driving my 2001 C2 on a daily basis to work. The car is great mechanically except for the softness in the original suspension. Alot of sway to it right now. No upgrades from original to my knowledge. What is the most cost-effective approach? Just struts or do i have to do sway bar, shocks etc...? I'm trying not to replace everything. Looking for most bang for the dollar....Thanks in advance,
I put a set of Ceika coilovers on several of my cars. For daily driving they work well. The coilover includes the upper mounts which generally need to be replaced due to age, especially for the front suspension. I paid approx $1200 for a set for my C2. I would also recommend replacing the tie rod ends (inner and outer). I did a suspension refresh on my car and also replace the lower control arms, wishbones, dog bones and control arms (all the pieces with rubber bushings and ball joints). It sure made a big difference, the car is much more taut.. If you get the lower control arms from Porsche, they are upgraded to the forged 991 arms and the wishbones are much thicker so you need new bolts(longer) where the wishbones connect to the LCAs.

I used to daily drive mine to work to Spring Branch area.
When I had stock suspension, the ride was pretty soft.
Switching to Feal coil overs really stiffened it up a bunch.
But replacing the front and rear sway bar bushings and the front control arms and control arm links really made the car handle like it should.
All together my car handles great now. (a lot of little changes to get it just like I wanted)
I like the stiffness, except when driving on really crappy roads like Briar Forest or near downtown Houston & The Heights.
I think replacing the bushings, control arms, tie rods etc...might be the first thing i hit. Probably going to take it to Warren at Rennsport in Sealy. Going to use the 911 for i10 commute downtown. Will have to use my truck for the rest of the roads if i'm inside the loop!!!
Only thing I'll say after doing my entire suspension refresh is pay particular attention to anything that has bushings or rubber, mine were dead and my car only has 62k miles.
Yep, mine too. I replaced everything with rubber in or on it in the suspension. (I did RoW M030 components while I was at it but that is not a necessary expense.)
OP if you're just after bang/buck try replacing the shocks/struts; there are some items like strut tops and so on that are logical to do at the same time. For comfort and control the Koni Actives are popular. I put Koni Sports (yellows) on my car and I'm quite happy with them.
