Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I really don't know about it, i'll go ask the specialist that took care of it for the past 20 years he'll tell me more i'm sure

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone! Just bought a 996 and something is bothering me : I dont have the switch in the fusebox to move up and down the wing. Its just not there (see picture attached) . It's also not on the dashboard, so basically I cant operate it. I have two questions : - is it normal? mine a very early build (07/97) - can i just buy a switch and put it in the fuse box? I dont risk messing up the circuits or whatever? attached is a picture of my fusebox and the switch I bought on Ebay, thank you guys

POST 2Original post

Any chance your car was a factory aerokit car that may no longer have the taco? I don't think that would have come with switch, but probably would not have just been a hole.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sup Hugo! I saw you post on Reddit and suggested you come here, so, welcome! Check out this thread, #15 post. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...no-switch.html "I took the carpet panel off during lunch today. The switch had worked loose and was behind the wiring loom on the floor." Maybe that's your next action item?
