Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A month or so ago I had some issues with my cabrio top so I had the rear black service tray removed. Like any 5 minute project, I put off re-installing the service tray for over a month. Yesterday I re-installed the service tray and now I get a "convertible top not in limit position" error. The top operates & latches like normal, but the windows don't go up & down in sync like they used to. When you open the top, or close it, the windows move down, then back up when you keep holding the button. Mine no longer do that... Any ideas where to start looking? Based on some research, it may be a faulty microswitch somewhere along the line. I'm guessing I should take the service tray back out & check all connections... Ugh!

POST 2Original post

most likely a microswitch. Check the side flaps, and the latch that secures the clamshell. Good luck. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-location.html
