Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Did a search but didn't see any comments from 996 owners . I need new tires for my 99 C4 . Stock tire sizes 225/40 x18 and 265/35 x18 . Wheel widths are 8" + 10" . Usage is mostly mountain road carving and general street use . No track and no rain driving . When searching online I came across Tire Rack reviews for the V601 . Seems like reviews are very positive but not Porsche specific . So any of you running these ? TR has a sale on these that ends 12/31 so would like some feedback if possible . Thanks
I'm about to run them on my 996 in a month (waiting on wheels to arrive). On other platforms, V601 have been awesome but I think you have to watch your alignment. Reviews from normies say the tires wear quickly, while the track enthusiasts I know (incl me) laud their long life.
Called our local tire shop and this model Yoko is not available in their distribution network . But they did say they would mount and balance them if I ordered through TR . I will make a decision tomorrow .
Just pulled the trigger . Looks like they will be delivered by Friday . Amazing . To my door 4 tires with tax $730.30 . Hard to beat for a performance tire .
Had the tires mounted and balanced today . With disposal of the old tires it was $140.00 . So all in for $870.00 for what appears to be very good performance tires . I am happy .
Yesterday I drove about 25 miles and today about 50 . Between the cold temps here in north Georgia and mold release compound on the tires I am taking it easy . As a starting point I am running 36psi front and rear . Initial thoughts are they are a little quieter than the Continental Sports I had previously . Ride quality is good and steering feel is excellent . Grip level will have to be judged in warmer temps. As long as I get decent mileage out of them I see no reason not to love them .
