Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

04 c4s manual I was looking at replacing the end connectors of the cables. Do the connector from a 996 turbo fit the c4s? Pelican only have one left in stock that is specific to the regular 996.

POST 2Original post

That doesn't look any different than a standard 996 shift cable transmission-end connector. It's not even complete in fact. If you want to tighten up the transmission end shift cable connection, look at the Function First offering. The other alternative is a set of entirely different cables such as Tarrett or Numeric. Those are known to bring transaxle noise into the cabin however, so be aware of that.

I second the Function First cable ends... (bits on the right)
