Fuel filter in 996.2 is in the tank and is integral to the pump. Not serviceable by itself. If you have replaced the fuel pump then you have also replaced the filter.

One thing you may consider is to check your fuel pressure once you are running. The pumps will fail and sometimes slowly. This results in low fuel pressure and potential for lean running. Mine quit one day on the way to Reno. Fortunately I had only made it about 15 miles from home. After replacing the pump, I realized how poorly it was running prior.

Interesting. TIL M96.01/2/4 have it under the car, M96.03 is in the tank, and M96.7x is in the engine bay. Very annoying of Porsche to have gone to a "lifetime" filter for 996.2
