Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They ONLY sell the entire electric switch with plate (used, around $110; new, purportedly over $500).

I know it is hard to buy the whole switch to replace a small plastic piece.

Mine broke off but I still have it, seems to be something semi easy enough to replace with a bit of glue - although I'm lazy, it still works, and my passenger hasn't complained yet.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Long shot- anyone have a seat switch that they no longer need? The **** for adjusting the bottom of the seat has gone missing on my passenger side. Porsche only lists the whole switch unit at $600+
Hoping perhaps someone has a switch that has given up electrically, but the control buttons are still in tact.
Yep.
TWICE, DC Auto sent me a ****, and TWICE, it was the wrong one (they sent the back tilt ****). They were extremely gracious and refunded my money with shipping.
HOWEVER, you just can't get that darn fwd-back ****.
There are already a few similar threads over the years about guys trying to find just this ****.
If only someone with a 3-d printer would make 100 copies....

Anyone know a place that will do plastic casting? With a little cleanup mine could easily be mold.
Try DCAuto, they usually have a good selection of seat switches far below dealer cost. I know it is hard to buy the whole switch to replace a small plastic piece. Such is life.
Throwing this one back out to see if anyone figured out where or how to get a replacement **** for the forward-aft movement of a passenger power seat (the bottom cushion, not the reclining back)?

I received TWO back-recliner ***** from DC Auto. They could not find anyone with the fwd-aft ****.

Here's Cuda's pic of the **** and switch (left pic).
...and pic of fbgh2o's missing **** (right pic) (note, the center post of the switch seems to be slightly different -- my 02-996 is similar to this one)
